Shukudai宿題

Terms of Service · version 2026-07-13

Terms of Service

These terms govern Shukudai's controlled alpha. By creating or using an account, you agree to these terms and the current Privacy Policy.

1. Accounts and adult eligibility

The controlled alpha is limited to adults who are at least 18: adult tutors, adult learners invited by tutors, and operator-provisioned adult solo learners. Public アイ-sensei self-signup is disabled. Do not create, invite, or enroll anyone under 18.

Accounts for minors remain out of scope until guardian or school authority, provider terms, deletion and export behavior, abuse controls, and legal review are separately approved.

2. The learning service and review

Shukudai helps tutors and learners create, complete, grade, and review Japanese homework. AI may draft exercises, grade free-text answers, and suggest follow-up practice. Tutor-generated work requires human review before it is sent. Controlled アイ-sensei work is limited to approved content and must pass machine review before sending.

Launch content is strongest for beginner and N5 learners. Tutors can still use Shukudai for higher-level students by supplying lesson context and reviewing generated work before sending.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use Shukudai to upload illegal, harmful, or highly sensitive information, to harass others, to attack the service, or to bypass usage, billing, or access controls. Keep login credentials private and use the product only for Japanese learning and tutoring.

4. Data, privacy, and attribution

The Privacy Policy explains what Shukudai collects, why it is processed, how AI processing works, and how to request export or deletion. Japanese dictionary, kanji, tokenizer, and JLPT source acknowledgements are listed on the Attribution page.

5. Billing, trials, and renewal

Tutor-seat subscriptions are sold through Stripe Checkout. Before you leave Shukudai for Checkout, the billing page shows the selected plan, seat count, recurring price, currency, billing interval, trial length and end date, first paid charge date and amount, tax handling, renewal cadence, and the deadline to cancel before the first charge. Unless you cancel before that deadline, Stripe charges the payment method on file after the trial and the subscription renews automatically each billing interval until canceled.

6. Refunds and cancellation

You may request a full money-back refund of your first paid tutor-seat subscription charge by emailing support@shukudai.app within 7 days of that charge. Renewal charges, seat changes, and other later subscription charges are not covered by the money-back window, but Shukudai may issue full or partial refunds for duplicate, incorrect, or legally required refunds through Stripe.

Refund requests and subscription cancellation are separate. To stop future charges, cancel in the Stripe Customer Portal. Portal cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid period: access continues until the paid-through date, and no further charges occur unless you restart the subscription.

7. Changes and contact

Shukudai may update these terms as the controlled alpha changes. Material billing or subscription terms will be shown before purchase. Questions, deletion or export requests, and account issues can be sent to support@shukudai.app.
